Linux Server Administration Foundation Course
The Linux Server Administration Foundation Course is designed for individuals who want to understand how Linux systems power servers, networks, and enterprise infrastructure across the world. This course introduces learners to key Linux concepts such as the command line, file system structure, user and permission management, networking, system monitoring, and server configuration. Students will gain hands-on experience working with real Linux environments to perform essential administrative tasks. By the end of the course, learners will understand how Linux servers operate and will be prepared to advance into DevOps, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, or system administration specialties.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the core concepts of Linux operating systems and server environments.
  • Navigate and manage Linux using the command line interface (CLI).
  • Work with files, directories, permissions, and process management tools.
  • Manage users, groups, and system access securely.
  • Configure basic networking services and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Install, configure, and manage essential server applications (e.g., web servers, SSH, firewalls).
  • Use package managers to install and update software on Linux systems.
  • Perform system monitoring, backups, and routine administrative tasks.
  • Build a personalized learning roadmap toward DevOps, cloud engineering, or advanced Linux administration.
